An established and reputable private clinic in Queensland is seeking a dedicated and experienced General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist to join their supportive and multidisciplinary team.

We at Nationallocums are looking for  General Adult Psychiatrist to work for private practice at Queensland, Caloundra. The clinic provides high-quality mental health services to adults, focusing on evidence-based treatments and a holistic approach to patient care. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide ongoing clinical management of adult patients with a range of psychiatric conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with psychologists, GPs, and allied health professionals.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings and case discussions.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records in compliance with Australian healthcare regulations.
  • Support the clinic’s commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in patient care.

Essential Criteria:

  • FRANZCP qualification (or equivalent recognized by RANZCP and AHPRA).
  • Current AHPRA Specialist Registration as a Psychiatrist.
  • Demonstrated experience in General Adult Psychiatry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to best practices in mental healthcare and ethical standards.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Previous experience in private practice or outpatient clinic settings.
  • Interest in innovative models of care, such as telepsychiatry.
  • A collaborative and patient-centred approach.
