National Locums is urgently seeking a Emergency Medicine Officer/Registrar, to support a well-established regional hospital in Bairnsdale, Victoria.

Dates: 4th August – 2nd November 2025
Rates:
• $1500 per day (Standard Shifts)
• $2000 per day (On-Call Shifts)
Accommodation + Travel Provided
Domestic flight reimbursement available (on approval)

Key Responsibilities (From Emergency Medicine Doctor):
- Lead and manage the Emergency Department team during your shift
- Provide high-quality clinical care to patients presenting with acute and emergency conditions
- Supervise junior medical staff, ensuring safe and effective patient management
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, specialists, and allied health professionals
- Contribute to hospital protocols and quality improvement initiatives
- Participate in clinical audits, morbidity and mortality meetings, and peer review sessions
- Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies
- Act as the senior decision-maker during critical incidents or complex presentations
- Ensure compliance with hospital and state healthcare regulations and best practices
Essential Requirements:
- Current registration with AHPRA (Specialist Registration preferred)
- Fellowship with ACEM or equivalent (Preferred)
- Proven experience working in Australian Emergency Departments at level require level
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a regional hospital setting
